Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindled a fire; then, when it lighted all around him, Allâh took away their light and left them in darkness. (So) they could not see. (2:17)

These are the examples, that Allah reminds us, if one person devotes all of their efforts towards this world, his body and soul are still owned by Allah, and is only here temporarily in this world as in a transit.  But a person starts to work towards his desires and fake attractions.  He worries only about the world, and tries to build everything for himself and his family, such as status, wealth, and luxuries in life, while completely ignoring the laws of Allah.  He wants to get fake light and illusions, so he can show off to himself and this world, until his light is closed, meaning he died.  He will stay in the darkness of the grave all alone, and no one will come back to see him, the people he worked for, such as his children, wife, or others. For example if we ask anyone today they all are trying to build their children's futures, buying big houses, and all kinds of furniture, to build the competition in society. So their children will never feel down, but once their children grow, then most of the time they never care about their parents anyways.
