If we really want to train ourselves, then we have to start first by training our souls. And start to realize our mistakes, are we part time or full time Muslims? Ask yourself, was the Prophet Muhammed (SAW) gave us in a hadeeth, when we are busy in our worldly affairs, so then we can apply the Islam as a part time, or when we have time we can pray, or we are still praying on Fridays.

In Islam either we have to be Muslim, or not, there is no such thing as 50/50. It is not a part time job.

Lets start to realize our lifestyles. When we wake up in the morning, what is the first thing that sits in our minds, is it the waking up du'a, or the shahadah? or is it planning of the day?

And then are we starting our days with the Fajr prayer? or starting our day as a non-Muslim?

You as an individual, have to examine your lifestyle yourself. In our daily routines, how many laws in the Qur'an, or how many sunnah (examples of the Prophet) do we apply in our life? We all claim to love Allah and his Prophet, what kind of hypocrites we are? That we appreciate, all of the activities of non-Muslims. And how many of us condemn the lifestyles of the non-Muslim? If we don't condemn, and we adopt, then we agree with them.

These aspects are the basis of Islam. If we are unable to change intentions then how can we be a true believer? And if we want to judge ourselves, then when we pray, where does our mind focus, Allah, the al-mighty, or this world?

How many of us know that when we are praying, and those words coming out of our mouth, then where are our intentions?

Are we really scared of Allah, and truly asking from Him?

Lets realize:

When the time of prayer comes, do we leave our work, and we run for the call of prayer? And if we do not leave our work behind, this means that the worldly matter are more important for us then our prayer, and the order and commandments of Allah, and then not to follow the footsteps of the Prophet.

Now lets see what is the solution, how can we improve?

The fajr prayer (dawn prayer), it is important to make sure we pray on time, and kick our blankets away, when we hear the call of prayer, or our alarm rings.

Lets realize, that if we leave our prayer, for the morning work, which Satan gives us ideas that we will be tired, and not have enough rest, then the whole day will be spoiled, and destroyed, because you will be lazy and sleepy. Now we should realize if Allah is our provider, or is Satan? What guarantee we have if we are going to even see the whole day or not? See how Satan, the cursed one, keeps us in illusions. We didn't even start our day, and already we are afraid or ruining it.

When we do not practice, one can see how weak we become, and what type of foolish ideas we get. Whoever leaves there fajr prayer, or delays it for the morning, then his wealth from Allah comes as non-believer.

To realize Allah is very important, sit down and learn the 99 names and powers of Allah. And think about His greatness, and how He raised you from a clot of blood, to make you thinkable, and with the ability to speak, think, hear, grow, to see, ect. And has made you a grown person, and continuous growth precisely, and everyday we are upgraded with knowledge, thousands of example one can think, about the never ending greatness of Allah.

Lets first realize the meaning of Allah huakbar (Allah is the greatest), the intention:

arabic
Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying, etc.).[] I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favors on you) and never be ungrateful to Me. (2:152)

The verse (2:152) refers to until one does not pray five times a day, which by praying we realize the greatness of our creator, and realize our status, and where we actually stand. And by this process we connect, and should realize the countless favors Allah has blessed us with, and is not demanding any money, or any extra efforts in return.

When one does not pray five times a day then he or she is far from Allah, and comes in the hands of Satan (Shaytan). The way Satan wants to destroy one's life, and make a person be ungrateful to the bounties bestowed by Allah.

So the person looses here, and in the hereafter. It does not matter, what type of money, or property one has acquired during his lifetime, but he or she will go further from Allah (SWT).

arabic
(They say): "Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower." (3:8)

This verse (3:8) in sura al-baqarah, gives a ruling to our soul, to keep asking from one's Lord, Allah (SWT), to not let one be sunk in this world, after you have given me guidance. This means after Allah has given one guidance, then that person is under the protection of Allah (SWT), and when one is under the protection of Allah, then this means he or she is under the blessings of Allah (SWT) here and in the hereafter. And we realize the greatness of Allah. After all the sins that were committed in the past by us, however the blessings of Allah are still on us, verily he is the bestower.

Whoever remembers there death, which can come to a person any time of the day he or she has started. Because one day, when we will wake up, that would be our last day, without us knowing.

Instead of keeping one's self fully busy in this world only, everyday remind yourself that indeed you have to meet your Lord. And always think that this is your last and final day of your life. When you remind your soul, then you feel like you are a traveller, and everyday remind yourself that you are going to your final destiny, to meet your Lord where you originally came from.

Whoever forgets this, his prayer and actions has lesser power, and whoever is building only his world, then it is very hard for him to move his focus from this world.

arabic
Say: "The angel of death, who is set over you, will take your souls, then you shall be brought to your Lord." (32:11)

arabic
And if you only could see when the Mujrimūn (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) shall hang their heads before their Lord (saying): "Our Lord! We have now seen and heard, so send us back (to the world), we will do righteous good deeds. Verily! We now believe with certainty." (32:12)
