Before anyone understands the status and prophecy of the Prophet , the understanding the greatness and powers of Allah is very important, who has the power to think and it happens.

Everyone would say that they know Allah, there lord and god. But if they are asked to explain about Him, then not much details would be given, about his greatness and powers, and controls on us and on the universe.

Allah is not like a human being, who are handicapped, and in order to do any project, help is required from others, any example can be given such as building a house, or any other project. Team work is always required, however when it comes to Allah who is alone, and the mighty power, and who runs the show of this universe and our life, Allah has never ending power.

Today in order to understand Allah is very easy. One should sit and think the details of the universe. And we should be narrowed thinkers, such as frogs in the well who think that this well is the entire world, and one or two frogs after efforts come out of the well, and it looks like the entire world has been discovered. The same example goes to us, that when we talk to anyone, it seems that he knows everything, and no one is smarter than him. Or people think that this is the end of the world, if one travels from one continent to the other. As we know space continuously  expands, and the greatness of Allah, and his wisdom opens through all of the research by researchers.

Please be broad minded about Allah. Now lets realize who the Prophet , the representative to this world?

The Prophet Muhammed was a human being, however his miracles were performed by Allah, in order to show that he has a direct connection with Allah, and that he represents Allah.

arabic
You killed them not, but Allāh killed them. And you (Muhammad SAW) threw not when you did throw but Allāh threw, that He might test the believers by a fair trial from Him. Verily, Allāh is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (8:18)

The verse (8:18) mentioned above refers to those who understand, that Allah certifies the actions of the Prophet , were not him, but it was done by Allah.

arabic
Truly Allāh has given you victory on many battle fields, and on the Day of Hunain (battle) when you rejoiced at your great number but it availed you naught and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back in flight. (9:25)

arabic
Then Allāh did send down His Sakīnah (calmness, tranquillity and reassurance, etc.) on the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and on the believers, and sent down forces (angels) which you saw not, and punished the disbelievers. Such is the recompense of disbelievers. (9:26)

The two verses mentioned above show us that whatever actions and sayings of the Prophet , were from Allah.

Now one should realize, that what a big deal for Allah, who is the creator of the stars, which in terms of size are much larger than this world. So what a big deal it is for Allah to split the moon in to two pieces, through the Prophet pointing towards the moon, which made it in to two pieces?

arabic
The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon). (54:1)

arabic
And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: "This is continuous magic." (54:2)

The moon is the roughly the size of Asian continent, so what kind of proof is required to doubt the powers of Allah?

Who is the one who controls our breath, and is the giver and taker of life, and the one who shapes us in the mother's womb, when we were just a cell, and after 40 days we received life in our body, and now we are grown individuals by the mercy of Allah. Our eyes, ears, and brain is the biggest miracle. We should realize details such as how does the light in the eye come, or where does the sound actually work in the ear, after one observes and acts accordingly, which is then ordered by the mouth. Really it only air, so how is the sound and everything is working so accurately, when people hear us, after we talk to them. One may ask, which is a bigger miracle? To split the moon, or this?

arabic
By the star when it goes down, (or vanishes). (53:1)

(53:1) refers to Allah taking oath of the stars that sink.

arabic
Your companion (Muhammad SAW) has neither gone astray nor has erred. (53:2)

(53:2) tells the believers that the Prophet was not lost, but he was in full senses (before the Miraaj happened).

arabic
Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. (53:3)

(53:3) shows us that he was not after status, to show off.

arabic
It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. (53:4)

(53:4) tells us that the Qur'an is a true book, and it is only for those who are willing to put time towards it, and to take heed from it. It is a order from Allah, which was sent by Allah. It means that the event of the Israa and Miraaj is certified for the believers from Allah through the Qur'an.

arabic
He has been taught (this Qur'ān) by one mighty in power [Jibrael (Gabriel)]. (53:5)

arabic
Dhu Mirrah (free from any defect in body and mind), Fastawa [then he (Jibrael Gabriel) rose and became stable]. [Tafsir At-Tabarī]. (53:6)

arabic
While he [Jibrael (Gabriel)] was in the highest part of the horizon, (53:7)

arabic
Then he [Jibrael (Gabriel)] approached and came closer, (53:8)

arabic
And was at a distance of two bows' length or (even) nearer, (53:9)

arabic
So did (Allāh) convey the Inspiration to His slave [Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel) > >]. (53:10)

arabic
The (Prophet's) heart lied not (in seeing) what he (Muhammad SAW) saw. (53:11)

(53:5,6,7,8,9,10, and 11) show us that Jibrael (Gabriel) was physically there, and that the Prophet did not see a vision, but was actually there.

arabic
Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad SAW) about what he saw [during the Mi'rāj: (Ascent of the Prophet SAW over the seven heavens)][] . (53:12)

THE QUR'AN CLEARLY CERTIFIES THAT THIS MIRACLE DID HAPPEN, and that the Prophet did not see a vision, but actually went over the seven heavens.

arabic
And indeed he (Muhammad SAW) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] at a second descent (i.e. another time). (53:13)

arabic
Near Sidrat-ul-Muntaha [lote-tree of the utmost boundary (beyond which none can pass)], (53:14)

arabic
Near it is the Paradise of Abode. (53:15)

arabic
When that covered the lote-tree which did cover it! (53:16)

arabic
The sight (of Prophet Muhammad SAW) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond (the) limit (ordained for it). (53:17)

arabic
Indeed he (Muhammad SAW) did see, of the Greatest Signs, of his Lord (Allāh). (53:18)

Again, Allah (SWT) is confirming in the verse (53:18) that the Prophet was at the event, and saw the greatest signs of Allah.

If an individual does not read the Qur'an then there belief is weaker, and whatever is there opinion, Satan gives them more strength in there own beliefs.

Individuals with little knowledge about Allah and his controls only wonder, that if this really happened? And some of our teachers would say that this is the weakness of iman, if you do not believe.

But one may ask what is Iman? It is to understand the powers of Allah, and one who does not think about the greatness and powers of Allah, then that individual does not have iman.

Allah is the one who made the system for us in this world, for us to tell time, in order to manage our lifestyles. Why are we comparing our lifestyles to the powers of Allah?

Allah is the power who can make something happen in a second, if he orders the sun to stop, maybe we think it is one second, but a thousand years can pass. When we think about the Prophet , why does our brain stop right over there? We should realize who was he representing?

arabic
Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allāh) [above all that (evil) they associate with Him] [Tafsir Qurtubī, Vol. 10, Page 204]
Who took His slave (Muhammad SAW) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Harām (at Makkah) to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighbourhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad SAW) of Our Ayāt (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer (17:1)

Allah, the one who thinks and it happens. And this is how we our iman is tested by Allah. What kind of research and knowledge do we gain about Allah in order to understand the Prophet ?

The individual who does not have knowledge about Allah, is misguided by Satan, who has closed the wisdom about Allah.

Through our actions, not to put efforts to learn about Allah and his Prophet . Another example of a miracle that happened through the spider web, and the pigeon laid its eggs.

This miracle was to show the non-believers the powers of Allah, the one who can protect his Prophet through the web of a spider. Or Allah can close there thinking, and by birds laying there eggs over there, in order to show whatever Allah wants will happen. In front of Allah, human beings are powerless.

The miracle of the Qur'an is the biggest miracle of the Prophet . It is a living example, for the satisfaction of the soul, regardless which part of the world the soul lives in, and the status, or what kind of wealth the individual would earn. However peace comes only through the Qur'an the examples of the Prophet , which is a living miracle up to the day of judgment.

arabic
And they say: "Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord? Say: "The signs are only with Allāh, and I am only a plain warner." (29:50)

arabic
Is it not sufficient for them that We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur'ān) which is recited to them? Verily, herein is mercy and a reminder (or an admonition) for a people who believe. (29:51)

Lets examine the iman of certain individuals, when they hear or see in a movie about the miracles performed by Musa (Moses), that the sea split in half, and the nation of Israel was saved, or his stick became a snake, and many more miracles. And when Isa (Jesus) who use to heal the blind, gave life to a sculpture of birds, and he gave life to a dead person, by the will and power of Allah, because non-Muslims certified these events, they believe and agree with that, but do not agree and believe in the miracles of the Prophet

Now what has happened to our belief? The things that are not certified by non-believers regarding the Prophet , we have doubt regarding his miracles. Why? The way Musa (Moses) and Isa (Jesus) were Prophets of Allah, the Prophet Muhammed was the seal of the Prophets. If one mixes his own ideas about the miracles of the Prophet truth, he should not call himself a Muslim, and that individual is out of Islam.

Please before thinking about any miracle, make sure you realize who Allah is, who shows that the Prophet Muhammed was a true Prophet. It is not like you and I, who's son for example goes to a high rise building, and jumps and did not die.

We are talking about Allah, that whatever he thinks happens.

arabic
Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e.Muhammad SAW) whom they find written with them in the Taurāt (Torah) (Deut, xviii, 15) and the Injeel (Gospel) (John xiv, 16)[], - he commands them for Al-Ma'rūf (i.e. Islāmic Monotheism and all that Islām has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islām has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Taiyibāt [(i.e. all good and lawful) as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.], and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khabā'ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allāh's Covenant), and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad SAW), honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Qur'ān) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful. (7:157)
