arabic
And if you fear (an enemy), perfrom Salāt (pray) on foot or riding[]. And when you are in safety, offer the Salāt (prayer) in the manner He has taught you, which you knew not (before).

The verse mentioned above refers to Allah telling us that in any condition, regardless if one is in a war, or any other condition, it is a must to perform prayers. Now one can see most of the time, that the enemies are more than the believers in the battle field, but still there is no forgiveness for prayer, because in any condition help comes only through prayer (salah), regardless in the time of peace, or in the time of an emergency, or if someone is sick, or if one is in a financial difficulty. Whoever does not seek help through salah (prayer) from Allah, then he or she is only misguided by Satan.

In case one is unable to wake up, after waking up, before starting anything one must go perform prayers, and treat this as a first priority, do not delay because, it is not allowed to delay one's fajr prayer, because first of all that person was unable to wake up on time, and if one started any work and is waiting to read his or hers' fajr prayer after, or with dhuhr, then this is a very big mistake. That individual must be feel very sorry in front of Allah for missing his prayer, and he should ask Allah for his forgiveness, and make a commitment he won't miss the next one. The reason is if one is unable to perform there fajr on time, there wealth on that day will come with the non-believers. If one misses his or hers' prayer, he or she should never tell anyone about it because, one does not want to make anyone else a witness.

arabic
And perform As-Salāt (Iqāmat-as-Salāt), and give Zakāt, and Irka' (i.e. bow down or submit yourselves with obedience to Allāh) along with ArRaki'ūn.

arabic
O you who believe! Seek help in patience and As-Salāt (the prayer). Truly! Allāh is with As-Sābirin (the patient ones, etc.).

First make an intention of two sets (rak'a) for fajr. This applies if one is reading sunnah or fardh (obligatory prayers)

  • The first two sets (rak'a) are called a sunnah, meaning according to Prophetic tradditions.

  • The second two sets (rak'a) are obligatory.

  • If we start our days after performing fajr, we start our day with the mercy of Allah.

  • When we start our day after fajr, our days feel very long and blessed, regardless if one works in a field or has a high grade job in the western world.

  • When we start our day after fajr, it balances our meal schedule, because, we can eat our breakfast early in the morning. This is very beneficial to one's health, and saves us from many different diseases such as ulcer. Whoever eats late because of waking up late, then his or hers' last meal is late at night, which causes an individual's arteries to block, heart attack, diabetes, or sometimes when one eats wrongly the system is disturbed during the night time that person is unable to sleep properly, and day time.

Allah has set a system for us, and taught us how to start our days. So we can utilize the time from the day.

Now one may ask, what benefit is Allah getting when his creature is practicing Islam?

Allah is our creator, and he orders the best for us. And by following his orders he does not benefit, but we as his creations benefit, and we have a peaceful and easy life.
