We created you, then why do you believe not? (56:57)

It is very easy to say that after intercourse, the wife gets pregnant and she gives birth. It is just like one who is ignorant would say, that he enjoys wheat products like breads and cakes. However did anyone ever realize, that from just wheat, to process it, and finally bake it, what major procedures take place? We simply enjoy it and take it as granted, without realizing its background, and without realizing who is the one who originally grew it from the ground?

Then tell Me (about) the human semen that you emit. (56:58)

When the cell is in the father, how does he know how many sons or daughters will he have?

And when the mother is sleeping with her husband, how does she know whether she will be pregnant or not? And how does she know whether that pregnancy will even last or not?

Is it you who create it (i.e. make this semen into a perfect human being), or are We the Creator? (56:59)

Now we can realize, that when semen is delivered to the womb, how does that single cell know where to go, and what is the final destination? Where already billions of cells are travelling with that cell, and how does that cell know where to go? The cell does not have a brain to think, so who is who is guiding the cell where to go. Inside the mother's womb, what is the roll of the parents? And are they the ones who tell the cell what kind of baby they want, and how should the baby look like, and how precise must its body organs be, so that they may perform their tasks accurately.

If the fetus does not get any life, then who will say that this fetus will become a human being like we are? And what guarantee does the fetus have that it will be developed in a perfect manner, with the right listening, thinking, and eye-sight? How does the fetus know the purpose in the future behind developing the legs or the arms? How are the fingers so precisely shaped and accurate? How does the fetus know the purpose behind the separating of the fingers?

Who is planning the development of the fetus, and who is giving it a guideline in order to develop so accurately?

We must remember that the fetus is an unconscious biological creature, and does not even perceive the world it lives in. Then how does it have the sense to develop so precisely and accurately? Who is the one planning the development? And where does the fetus get "instructions" so that it may develop in the most precise and accurate manner? 

Another important point to understand, how does this secret unseen work develop in darkness, and without the mother even knowing of what is going on, until she receives an ultra sound report? 

Neither the fetus nor the mother are aware of what is going on, and what developments are first taking place. 

Now we can see the semen we drop, is it we who created it? Or is it Allah, our Lord, who created it?

We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable, (56:60)

As we can see ourselves, billions of people have already died. Did they ever want to die?

Can we find a person who is waiting for their death while living in the best position? The angel of death never requests the person to start his job by taking out the soul from the body. Or maybe the person is to busy and has to many responsibilities, and the angel will come back another time.

Try and pay any amount in order to save yourself from death.

To transfigure you and create you in (forms) that you know not. (56:61)

As we can see ourselves, how do we know what stages have we been through in the mother's womb?

When we started from a seed, which we call a cell, when it was delivered to our mother's womb, what stages did we have to pass through so that we may develop so accurately and precisely?

Can anyone remember the pain and procedures did they have to undergo during their processing in the mothers' womb? Or during the time of delivery?

Why is this all taken for granted?

How can we answer our creator? Who has enabled us to stand, walk, and find ways in this world, so that we may learn, and we may have the ability to earn, while thinking of our growth, status, and the future of our generations.

How does anyone know when they are born, what are they going to be?

We have many examples of babies being born in the palaces of kings, however when they grow they end up begging and live with severe poverty. 

And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam), why then do you not remember or take heed? (56:62)

We all know, regardless of what faith we are from, that their was one person who came to this world, and he is known as the Prophet Adam (AS). How did he start? And who was the starter of him? And who was the real creator of him?

What is stopping us to admire our creator? And what is making us avoid thinking towards the right direction, by contemplating on His creations and controls he has upon us. Regardless if we realize it or not, or we ignore it or not,  however today's scientific research will be a witness against us on the Day of Judgment.

Allah may question, what was our role in the creation and development of the baby?

We have the opportunity to look at each and every step through an ultra sound, what is stopping us from thinking of our creator, why are we living in such a drunk stage when we were created alert?

We want to learn about Allah's creations, and many of us want to even do PhD on creations, what has made us from forgetting our creator, and not taking heed from the signs which we experience and witness each and every day before our eyes?

Tell Me! The seed that you sow in the ground. (56:63)

We may witness when farmers plant thousands of seeds in the ground, only some grow sucessfully and some do not. Why don't some seeds grow while others do?

Both the successful and unsuccessful seeds have the same basic ingredients and all have the same basic growth abilities. No farmer can ever guarantee which seed would grow and which see would not.

Some seeds to grow, however we cannot take any benefit from it, because after growth it does not give any fruits, or while growing, it was eaten by birds or bugs. 

Allah reminds us that from His mercy, the seed which we sow in the ground become a benefit for us. The seeds which are written to give benefit to the farmers, food store owners, or the final individuals who consume it. No one can ever guarantee who will finally consume the fruits and vegetables.

Is it you that make it grow, or are We the Grower? (56:64)

Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment). (56:65)

(Saying): "We are indeed Mughramûn (i.e. ruined or lost the money without any profit, or punished by the loss of all that we spend for cultivation, etc.)! (56:66)

"Nay, but we are deprived!" (56:67)

Tell Me! The water that you drink. (56:68)

Is it you who cause it from the rain clouds to come down, or are We the Causer of it to come down? (56:69)

If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allâh)? (56:70)

Tell Me! The fire which you kindle, (56:71)

Allah challenges mankind, the fire which we use in our lifestyle which has many purposes such as cooking our food, heating ourselves in cold weather and so on, with many other uses of heat. How and where are we getting it from?

Many narrow-minded individuals would assume that it is due to gas, electric heating, or when we lit our match it is from wood of the trees. However, we can say that these things were built over time, for improvements and our convenience. 

Allah challenges us and questions where did we originally get this fire from? And what is the first and main source and origin of it?

 
Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower? (56:72)

Allah challenges us by saying is it you who made this tree? Fire never grows from trees, it is our fruits and vegetables that grow. However in many forests we witness forest fires, that occur each year.

As we all know if we were to hammer wood, it would never cause a fire, regardless how heavy the hammering may be. Or if you were to use a wood hammer on wood, it would never create a fire.

So how does the fire come, it does not come from any tree? How does this happen?

Many times we witness glass or tin absorbing sunlight and it creates fire as a result.

Allah shows us his controls, and it is Him who is the grower of the tree. And we would never imagine a jungle being burnt from tin, glass, or any other shiny metal source. Allah says that there is no tree of fire, however He is the only source for each and every single thing.

We have made it a Reminder (for the Hell-fire, in the Hereafter); and an article of use for the travelers (and all the others, in this world). (56:73)

Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. (56:74)
