It is a fashion trend and a habbit adopted by today's Muslims. That when we are in trouble, we start to remember Allah, we try and perform our prayers in a more suitable manner accurately on time.

We start to recite the Quran more often, thinking that by reading and reciting the Quran it would save us from our calamity.

And once our trouble is over, then we get back to our busy routines as usual, forgetting Allah. And whenever we have some time to relax after work, we get tired and bored, and we look for a way to entertain ourselves.

Once our troubles and suffering are over, we forget Allah being obedient to Satan. And start following him in our worldly matters, giving first priority to those matters instead of Allah.

Did we ever realize who are we dealing with? We are not dealing with any human being, so it is easy for us to show two faces, and act according to the situation. But we are dealing with Allah, who is the knower of what is in our hearts and our thinking, and he knows what we are going to think. Please do not go any further until you understand the following verse in details, go over it a few times.

arabic
Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursî[] extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. [This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursî.] (2:255)

So basically we are fooling ourselves, when we are in trouble we remember Allah, and after once our trouble is removed by Allah, regardless in situations such as our business, jobs, family related matters, government inquiries, or if one gets involved in a criminal act, or sickness during rough times in traveling, whether it may be on air or in the sea, we forget Allah.

In these situations how much do we remember Allah? We remember Allah, so much it is like we were close to him since we were small, and we have been in love with him for our entire life.

But as soon as the trouble is over, we feel like a big burden is over, and then Satan shows that this trouble was solved by our smartness, he shows so many avenues.

We forget that those avenues were only opened by Allah alone. We are the one's who put ourselves in trouble, because the path we chose, whether good or bad, Allah will make it easy for us.

It is only Allah who is the one who removes our troubles, after we beg him. He is the most merciful, and the most gracious. Regardless how ignorant we were before our trouble started.

If we claim to be smart, then we should remember Allah at all times, so a trouble does not come close to us, and we will always be under the shield of protection by Allah, and will be out of disasters. Because Allah guarantees to us that when we mention the name of Allah, then Satan never stays with us, allowing us to avoid being involved in any troubles.

Being a Muslim, we all know that Satan is our biggest enemy, and he is the one who wants to destroy us here and in the hereafter. But everyday we are shown by him hundreds of different attractions, in this life, to keep us involved only in this world, while forgetting our true Provider, Creator, and Sustainer.

So how can one be connected with the power of Allah? This is the only way, that before doing any move in our life, we should learn to involve in remembrance of Allah in our daily affairs, in order for us to be protected from Satan.

What is essential for every Muslim is to adhere to Allah's law, and the examples of our holy Prophet, in order for us to be successful here and in the hereafter.
