Satan wants to make sure, that he misguides us in order to believe strongly in the life of this world, which in reality is an illusion. The way to understand this is whatever is passed in our lifetimes is a dream, one cannot even call a single second that already has passed, and everything equal to the atom is recorded by Allah. For example, in today's worldly lifestyle, we feel competitive with the materialistic race, regardless if our earnings are unlawful we have to build big houses, villas, business, or key posts in jobs, just like we will never face death, and the day of judgment. What guarantee do we have? The angel of death will never ask anyone's age, responsibilities, or status. However Satan always assures that this is a never ending life, and we all are lost in this lifestyle, and this is also a sign of denial of Resurrection, Punishment, or Goodly reward on the Day of Reckoning or that punishment and reward are only abstract, symbolic or spiritual.
