This sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat' (in Mecca).

After praising, and thanking Allah he said:

"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY."

Explanation: The miracle of the Prophet is his words and guidance which was from Allah (SWT) apply and benefit to any human being until the day of judgment. Regardless who we are. Now you emphasize his wording to bring an attentive ear, "for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again" If the Prophet Muhammed was not a true prophet , and his message was not from Allah then how did he know that this is his last speech?  "Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully" How many of us today who claim to be a Muslim, what he is asking us is to emphasize, and apply his sayings in our lifestyles. We all say that we love the Prophet , but how many of us are following his examples and his footsteps in our lifestyles? And what he said to us is to listen carefully, this means to understand his last speech which is a short guideline and to understand Islam, up to the day of judgment, very briefly. Every Muslim, and his children should know this last sermon by heart. 

...This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above-mentioned meats), then surely, Allâh is Oft­Forgiving, Most Merciful. (5:3)

Once some Jewish scholars said to Sayyidna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah bless him, "The Qur'an contains a verse that if it had been revealed to us, we would have designated a day to celebrate its revelation." Upon enquiry they mentioned the verse: {This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion} [Al-Maida 5:3] "Yes, I know, the time and place when it was revealed," he replied.

Indeed it was a historic day. It was the day of Arafa during the farewell Hajj (pilgrimage) of Prophet Muhammad . This verse announced the completion of a historic process that had started with the coming to earth of Sayyidna Adam, peace be upon him. Allah sent His guidance with him and informed him that in the generations to come there would be additional messengers. The process continued through the 124,000 prophets who were sent to different lands at different times. It culminated with the coming of the Last Messenger, Muhammad peace be upon him. He received revelations over a twenty-three year period. Then during the Farewell Hajj, on the plain of Arafat, in the presence of nearly 150,000 companions, this verse announced that it was all done!

"TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY." What this means is to transfer his sayings to your generations up to the day of judgment. Because, this speech was the ending of the prophecy and completion of Islam, and Qur'an was very close to completion. That is why this speech is the shortest shortcut to understand Islam, for any Muslim. 

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn 'Abd'al Muttalib (Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived...

"O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. "

Explanation: What the Prophet was emphasizing us and we should focus where he is emphasizing us, in the holy month of Hajj, the holy day of Arafah, and the city of Makkah, the sacred and holy place, and what he is emphasizing is that we should take care of a Muslim life and property as a sacred trust. It is a full responsibility, more than our own things, the way we love our holy places. "Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners."  And do not take advantage of what people left in your trust, of there properties and responsibilities, it is just like the responsibility of an orphan's property, or someone who gives you money in order to keep in a trust, and you use it without that person's permission, regardless how many times you triple the money for them, but it will still count like stealing, because the money was used in the first place without permission, you cannot touch anything of a person, which was given in your trust, regardless big or small.

 

"Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you." 

Explanation: " Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you." Always be defensive and never start any talk which leads to a big fight, such as teasing, jealousy, backbiting, slandering, ect. Those things start a fight, the most important thing is to control the tongue even with a small joke, or with tenting of someone else, and hurt people's feelings.  "Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you." 

"Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds." 

Why is our Noble Prophet reminding us "Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds." is that Do not forget that any day, minute, or second about your provider who is watching you, and he will judge your good and bad deeds according to the weight of an atom.

So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. (99:7)

And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. (99:8)

So never forget your death, and the day of judgment in order to meet your Lord, and you will be shown you good and bad deeds equal to the details of a single atom. 

 

Explanation: "ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn 'Abd'al Muttalib (Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived..."

Explanation: "ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest)," To earn money without work, if one is helping anyone with money this means that you are already rich enough to give money to someone, who is needy. If one asks his interest, that needy person will do things which are prohibited and Islam does not allow. To earn the real money which was borrowed, and the profit which is a never ending interest. In today's world people borrow money and do so many unnecessary things in business, they lie, cheat, fool to the other person in order to make enough money to pay the real interest, and the person who is running the business must pay his expenses and profit, which leads to tensions, stress, and heart attacks, most of time. And this is why "ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest)," by Allah who is the most merciful and gracious, and he wants us to live a trouble free life, whatever we can afford we should only plan that.  

Explanation: therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. This means whoever is taking interest from the people, advancing money should forgive the part of interest. And if one is collecting interest from the bank or any other financial sources, (that interest money should be used to buy toilet paper for the mosque, and to have no intention of rewards for this act.) And after that should not be involved in this.  

Explanation: "Your capital, however, is yours to keep." This means if you are involved in privately giving money to the people in today's world, after the guidance which was given by the Prophet , one can ask the exact amount of money only which was given. And if one is involved in banks or in financial groups, right away take out your money from this kind of investment. The money should be involved where one works and earns, or can lose. 

Explanation: "You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity." If you obey the advice of the Prophet (SAW) as mentioned above, "Your capital, however, is yours to keep." you will not have any injustice because you obeyed the laws of Allah (SWT) and his prophet. And when you obey the laws of Allah (SWT) just like Zakat, Allah (SWT) will multiply you wealth in a permissible manner. Allah never keeps anyone who follows Allah to loose here and in the hereafter. 

Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn 'Abd'al Muttalib (Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived..." 

"Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things."

"Beware of Satan" 

Why did the Prophet said to beware of Satan. Because every Muslim is satisfied because he or she is a Muslim, without remembering that Satan is with them more closer than a kaafir (non-believer). Because the non-Muslims already follow Satan. Because they do not believe in oneness of Allah, there are only two ways, the straight path of Allah, and the path of Satan who is the enemy of the human being. Now why does the Prophet tells us to beware of Satan? Because Satan attracts us to commit the sins. Muslims, whoever or whenever went towards materialistic life, which Satan gives assurance that they will never die, and that this world is the permanent place. Work hard to earn and to live in the best manner in this world, but beware of Satan do not get lost in life's attractions so much that you forget Allah (SWT) laws and the Prophets' examples, every word of the sermon is a guideline Muslims up to the day of judgment.

Explanation: "for the safety of your religion." 


You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). (1:5)

We should worship Allah (SWT) alone, many people would think that yes we do worship Allah alone, but for example, how many of us leave our work behind for prayer, when the call for prayer is given. 

We seek help alone from Allah (SWT). This is suppose to be our focus for the safety of our religion. Instead of seeking help from friends, relatives, and money.

Guide us to the Straight Way (1:6)

Many of us say five times a day in our prayers to Allah "Guide us to the Straight Way." However after the prayers we open the TV, and we watch movies, and we do whatever we feel like, regardless if it is permissible in the boundaries of Islamic law or not, while saying our heart that Allah will forgive us.

...and whether you disclose what is in your own selves or conceal it, Allâh will call you to account for it... (2:284)

 What we say from our lips, but our intention is not to get the straight path, because we do not have to many practicing Muslims today. People always ask the question why are Muslims suffering, because they all pray but they are still suffering, the reason behind this is what is being said from the mouth, is not the same in the actions.

"He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things,"

If you are a practicing Muslim, if you are not, then naturally you are in the hands of Satan. Who is keeping you away from the straight path, which is Islamic law and practice. Satan has lost all of his hopes with those people who are the followers of this ayah:

Alif-Lâm-Mîm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. (2:1)

This is the Book (the Qur'ân), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqûn [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. (2:2)

Who believe in the Ghaib [] and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), [] and spend out of what we have provided for them [i.e. give Zakât [], spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allâh's Cause - Jihâd, etc.]. (2:3)

And who believe in (the Qur'ân and the Sunnah) [] which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him ) and in [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.). (2:4)

They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. (2:5)

"He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things,"

So make sure we measure ourselves, are we following the same categories as mentioned in the Quran? Then Satan will lose his hope, and as long as we are following the verses above, then he will never be able to take us astray in big things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

"O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women," What rights is our Prophet referring to? Did we ever realize? That she stays in your control, she raises your children according to Islamic law, and should not ask for something which leads to you to illegal earnings, if she is asking for unnecessary things which are forbidden in Islam, then you have a right to stop it. Over spending, or to buy unnecessary things. 


Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allâh has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means... (4:34)

 

"but they also have rights over you." Meaning, Islam sees a woman, whether single or married, as an individual in her own right, with the right to own and dispose of her property and earnings without any guardianship over her (whether that be her father, husband, or anyone else). She has the right to buy and sell, give gifts and charity, and may spend her money as she pleases. A marriage dowry is given by the groom to the bride for her own personal use, and she keeps her own family name rather than taking her husband’s.


Islam encourages the husband to treat his wife well, as the Prophet Muhammad said: {The best among you are those who are best to their wives.}

...And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses, etc.) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect, etc.) to what is reasonable, but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them. And Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise. (2:228)

"Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. " So do not forget that your wives are in your trust from Allah (SWT) this means that they are granted the way we learn from today's modern society, that our wife is a Jinn, who can take care of the house, and to make sure that the husband's clothes are cleaned and ironed, and then to cook food, and in some places they have to earn money also. Because our desires and dreams are to big, and we are unable to meet our expenses, and then we abuse them, and we complain that they are not taking care of the husband's family. And whenever we want to open our mouths we say to our wives that we will give them divorce, because we think that this is the way to control them if they are threatened, some husbands beat there wives for small things. 

When Allah has given the wife in your trust, to manage your lifestyle and it to be improved, we take it as granted. How are we going to answer to Allah (SWT), when our beloved Prophet tells us that Allah has given them under a trust. So when we will go back to Allah, how are we going to answer him the help and management he gave us for our comfort, how did we treat them. Beware of it. 

 Prophet Muhammad said: {The best among you are those who are best to their wives.}

"If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness." An example is when your wives are obedient to you, it is your duty to take care of there needs, and there feelings, and there hopes. "fed and clothed in kindness." In today's world if the wife is helpful in all manners, and the husband takes advantage and tries and keeps her lower than he is, and thinks that he is smart, and has a very good control on his wife. 

...and whether you disclose what is in your own selves or conceal it, Allâh will call you to account for it... (2:284)

We have to make sure that our money is not hidden from our wives, and she has the right to use our money without permission, this is not stealing because she is your equal partner. And if she wishes to spend this money within the limits, she can the way she wants, as long as its permissible in Islam. 

"Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers." What the Prophet (SAW) is advising us is to make sure that we treat our partner and manager in the best manner, in order for them to give us a good backup in our lifetimes, and they have full confidence, and can guard our money, our homes, and our children. When our children see how there mother is being treated by you, they will treat her with the same respect, but if they see when you are screaming, and taking out your anger on her, what your children will learn is that whenever they get angry this is the way to take out the anger and frustration, and you are guarding them towards hell, because your wife is there mother, and as we know whoever treats there parents wrongly there end is hell. But if you your partner, meaning your wife in a polite manner, and always keep in mind that she is not your servant, but your helper. But in most cases we think we are giving her a favor because we earn and she spends, but she is spending for your heart to make it comfortable, and for your children, as long as she is a practicing Muslim. And she would buy clothes, and gets ready in order to please you, as long as it is under the boundaries of Islam, and it is suppose to be only for you. 

"And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste." This is a very important matter, to educate your wife to not move around with those whom you do not like, regardless if it is a family relative. In today's world, the wife introduces the husband, that this family is our friend, for example. And to make sure they do not go to close with those whom you allow with friendship, so they never lose there modesty, it should only be under the limits and boundaries of Islamic law. Otherwise, today 90% of the divorces happen due to the wrong company of the wife. 

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

"O People, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH" The first and the most important pillar of Islam, is to witness the oneness of our creator, sustainer, and provider, Allah. And to understand his Powers, and to believe in Muhammed (SAW), who was the last and final messenger, who was between us and our creator.

"say your five daily prayers (Salah)" To pray the compulsory prayers five times a day, in order to continuously remind ourselves of his provider, and to show the status, power, controls of our creator, and the status of the human beings in comparison, during his lifetime.

"fast during the month of Ramadan" Every year, in the month of Ramadan, all Muslims fast from first light until sundown, abstaining from food, drink, and sexual relations. Those who are sick, elderly, or on a journey, and women who are pregnant or nursing are permitted to break the fast and make up an equal number of days later in the year. If they are physically unable to do that, they must feed a needy person for every day missed. Children begin to fast (and to observe the prayer) from puberty, although many start earlier.

Although the fast is most beneficial to the health, it is regarded principally as a method of self-purification. By cutting oneself off from worldly comforts, even for a short time, a fasting person gains true sympathy with those who go hungry as well as growth in one's spiritual life.

So whoever does not perform there prayers five times a day, then he or she is not a Muslim because, if one does not perform there prayers five times a day, and are only after a materialistic life, than that means we are a worshipper of our busy routines, and the goals of our life.

"And give your wealth in Zakat" One of the most important principles of Islam is that all things belong to God, and that wealth is therefore held by human beings in trust. The word zakat means both "purification" and "growth". Our possessions are purified by setting aside a portion for those in need, and, like the pruning of plants, this cutting back balances and encourages new growth.

Each Muslim calculates his or her own zakat individually. For most purposes this involves the payment each year of two and a half percent of one's capital.

A pious person may also give as much as he or she pleases as sadaqa, and does so preferably in secret. Although this word can be translated as "voluntary charity" it has a wider meaning. The Prophet said "even meeting your brother with a cheerful face is charity".

The Prophet (peace be upon Him) said:

"Charity is a necessity for every Muslim." He was asked: "What if a person has nothing?" The Prophet replied: "He should work with his own hands for his benefit and then give something out of such earnings in charity". The Companions asked: "What if he is not able to work?" The Prophet said: "He should help poor and needy persons." The Companions further asked "What if he cannot do even that?" The Prophet said "He should urge others to do good". The Companions said "What if he lacks that also?" The Prophet said, "He should check himself from doing evil. That is also charity."

"Perform Hajj if you can afford to." The pilgrimage to Makkah -- the Hajj -- is an obligation only for those who are physically and financially able to perform it. Nevertheless, about two million people go to Makkah each year from every corner of the globe, providing a unique opportunity for those of different nations to meet one another. Although Makkah is always filled with visitors, the annual Hajj begins in the twelfth month of the Islamic year (which is lunar, not solar, so that Hajj and Ramadan fall sometimes in summer, sometimes in winter). Pilgrims wear special clothes: simple garments which strip away distinctions of class and culture, so that all stand equal before God.

The rites of the Hajj, which are of Abrahamic origin, include circling the Ka'aba seven times, and going seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwa, as did Hagar during her search for water. Then the pilgrims stand together on the wide plain of Arafa and join in prayers for God's forgiveness, in what is often thought of as a preview of the Last Judgment.

In previous centuries the Hajj was an arduous undertaking. Today, however, Saudi Arabia provides millions of people with water, modern transport, and the most up-to-date health facilities.

The close of the Hajj is marked by a festival, the Eid al-Adha, which is celebrated with prayers and the exchange of gifts in Muslim communities everywhere. This, and the Eid al-Fitr, a feast-day commemorating the end of Ramadan, are the main festivals of the Muslim calendar.

Verily! As-Safâ and Al-Marwah (two mountains in Makkah) are of the Symbols of Allâh. So it is not a sin on him who perform Hajj or 'Umrah (pilgrimage) of the House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) to perform the going (Tawâf) between them (As-Safâ and Al-Marwah).[] And whoever does good voluntarily, then verily, Allâh is All-Recogniser, All-Knower. (2:158)

And (remember) when We showed Ibrâhim (Abraham) the site of the (Sacred) House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) (saying): "Associate not anything (in worship) with Me, [Lâ ilâha ill-Allâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh Islâmic Monotheism], and sanctify My House for those who circumambulate it, and those who stand up for prayer, and those who bow (submit themselves with humility and obedience to Allâh), and make prostration (in prayer, etc.);" (22:26)

And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj). (22:27)

That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade, etc.), and mention the Name of Allâh on appointed days (i.e. 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th day of Dhul-Hijjâh), over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice) (at the time of their slaughtering by saying: Bismillah, Wallâhu-Akbar, Allâhumma Minka wa Ilaik). Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time. (22:28)

Then let them complete the prescribed duties (Manâsik of Hajj) for them, and perform their vows, and circumambulate the Ancient House (the Ka'bah at Makkah)[]. (22:29)

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

"All mankind is from Adam and Eve," This means, all mankind are the children of Adam and Eve, there is nothing to do with race, everyone is equal to the teeth of a comb. There is no difference in Islam between black and white. This is what our Prophet is showing us, Islam is the only religion which shows no discrimination between human beings, this is the answer to human rights. Which Islam also practices. And if Adam was worshiping to Allah alone, then the children should also follow his footsteps, and should not worship to each other, or any Prophet or apostle, or any material. 

an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; As some Arabs have in there mind, because the Prophets came, and so did the Prophet Muhammed (SAW) came from the Arab peninsula, because Islam never recognizes any blood, it is a law, whoever practices and applies, regardless of Arab or non-Arab, the benefits go to the soul, and the soul is culture free, and whoever has knowledge is the highest. 

"also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action." Islam is the only solution of racism, today the world is suffering because of racism, whites try and be superior over blacks, and blacks try and to control the whites, Islam gives a solution of this problem. And Islam teaches us that whoever has the best education and knowledge regardless of look, or color, he or she is superior, whoever wants to be superior in this world, then he or she should follow the footsteps of the Prophet, who is the most well known person, amongst all human beings. 

"Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood." Every Muslim should teach him or herself that any other brother or sister, should not harm each other by tongue, or to backbite, cheat, fooling, joking, slandering, teasing, ect. And any manners should not be harmful to your brother or sister, because it goes back to us an Islamic unity will go weaker, if we have sects amongst us, and these things leads towards us becoming enemies of each other. The only solution is to follow the Qur'an, then the footsteps of our beloved Prophet (SAW), because that is our only leader, and it is preserved till the day of judgment. And we do not need any other leader, we have to educate ourselves, and whenever we want guidance, then we only look at the Quran and Sunnah, do not follow your mother, father, brother, sister, husband or wife, culture, society, or friends. Because Satan can attack any human being except Allah and his Messenger, which is a true guideline for human beings, everyone has some greed to each to other except Allah and his Prophet, so to follow them will not harm you but give you benefits. 

"Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves." 

Most of the time we think for even our family, if something belongs to our brother or sister for example, we use there things without informing them, and we think that there is no problem because this is my brother and sister, and an example like this is the beginning of starting a fight. Because taking advantage is not allowed from anyone unless someone gives it happily and willingly.

"Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves." How are we doing injustice to ourselves? Because we are breaking someone's trust and stealing there rights, whether someone wants to give us something or not, this counts like stealing or cheating, and to break a trust. And matters such as this one leads one to hell. 

Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

"Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds." Being a Muslim, no one should ever forget there death, and should always remember that your deeds will be shown before justice. So no one should forget the final day of judgment, which we should remind to ourselves, when we say, "Owner of the day of Judgment, (1:3)" five times a day in our prayers. This means that every soul will appear in front of there creator to answer there deeds, whatever they did in there lifetimes. In our prayers, Allah has made a system, in order for us not to forget, and to remind ourselves about 38 times a day in our daily prayers, indeed we will have to meet our Lord and answer our deeds.

"So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone."

Guide us to the Straight Way (1:7)

The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace [], not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians). (1:8)

Everyday we remind ourselves also, to guide ourselves to the straight path, the advice from the Prophets' sermon is with us continuously reminds us what to focus. The sayings of the Prophet is a open revelation to mankind. When we move in society we should see if we are moving with those people who earn Allah's anger, or those go astray. We should not follow there examples, fashions, and designs, or otherwise we are one of them. 

O People, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray.

"O People, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. " If any Muslim does not agree with what the Prophet (SAW) said, even if it is a single word, he or she is not a Muslim. Because the Quran was not received to us by a fax, or written, we know the Quran from the Prophets (SAW)'s tongue. Why did the Prophet start to receive revelation at the age of forty? Why did he not get it at a earlier period of his life? Because, Allah (SWT) wanted to set his status, honesty, trustworthiness. In order for people to trust him and his sayings after the Prophecy. Now the Prophet mentions that there will be no Prophet or apostle after me, and there will be no new faith, how can anyone claim to be a Muslim and follow things which go against the Prophet's sayings? When Allah (SWT) promised, to preserve the Quran, and the Prophet (SAW) life was a open Quran. All of the Prophet's examples are preserved, not to many Muslims in today's world realize that if someone is fake and comes and claims to be a Prophet, or a apostle, none of us studied the Quran or the Prophet's examples in a proper manner. One or two times in our life we glance it, and because of this anyone can come and fool us. We should go back to our roots, to claim and be a Muslim. In order for no one to fool us. 

"O People, and understand words which I convey to you." The Prophet (SAW) is emphasizing to us his understanding is very important, of the words what he has conveyed to us. Whatever was conveyed to us was the Quran, and how many of us today, when we read the Quran, we read the it with understanding, after reading the Quran we all are pleased and satisfied that we are reading the laws of Allah without understanding, and we are not focusing what is permissible and what is not. Some of the people the read the Quran for the dead person how can anyone be benefited from there. One should focus why was the complete Quran received in 23 years, when Gabriel (Jibraeel) came, and Allah who is the most powerful, what he wishes is done. Then why did Gabriel (Jibraeel) not put his hand on the heart of the Prophet, and just transfer it in one shot? it was not hard for Allah. Allah knows how careless we are and weak in our faith. The reason why Allah (SWT) sent his message in the time frame of 23 years is because, whenever the Prophet received a revelation in small portions, he applied to show us the benefits in following. 

"I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example,"

O you who believe! Obey Allâh, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) and render not vain your deeds. (47:33) 

What is the Prophet (SAW) is asking us to focus? He said that he is leaving the Qur'an, and his examples, Sunnah.  "O you who believe! Obey Allâh, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ) and render not vain your deeds. (47:33)"  Who are we obeying today in our lifestyles? Our leaders, culture, customs, and we worry about what people would think if I fully practice Islam, and we will be considered backward by people, and people also complain that Muslims have no leadership, and that Muslim leaders are corrupted. Where are these leaders coming from? They are coming from amongst us, we are the ones who choose them. The way we are like hypocrites, and don't practice, naturally they are then one of us. The way we lie and cheat, and we think we are smart, the same role they play back to us, then why would we complain and cry? The Prophet (SAW) never said he is leaving behind him Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, or any other companion. Any Muslim is not compared to there status, regardless whoever we are. What every soul has to focus is the Quran, and his examples.

That is the reason today Muslims have so many misguided sects, shia'a, sunni, quadiyani, and so many more. 

" I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example," 

"O you who believe! Obey Allâh, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ) and render not vain your deeds. (47:33)"

"the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray." The Prophet (SAW) gives us a guarantee, that if we follow these two things, we will never go astray. What a great assurance, did we ever realize that every soul came to this world for a certain duration of time, which the soul has no idea when it will die. And when we transfer to the next world after death, we will not die again. And this is all controlled by Allah.

"Who took their religion as an amusement and play, and the life of the world deceived them." So this Day We shall forget them as they forgot their meeting of this Day, and as they used to reject Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). (7:51) 

It is not worth it to involve in the world, because all our good deeds are useless in front of Allah (SWT) eyes, if we are not practicing Muslim, for example, if anyone does not practice Islam, and lets say he is the best person in dealing, charity, and in all aspects. All of his actions are countless because, he is trying to do best for this world, but did not obey the creator, and denied the creator and provider's laws.

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Shall We tell you the greatest losers in respect of (their) deeds? (18:103)

"Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds! (18:104)

"They are those who deny the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord and the Meeting with Him (in the Hereafter). So their works are in vain, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall not give them any weight. (18:105)

"That shall be their recompense, Hell; because they disbelieved and took My Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and My Messengers by way of jest and mockery. (18:106)

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O ALLAH, that I have conveyed your message to your people".

"All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again;"

This shows how Allah (SWT) protected the Prophet sayings, it has been transferred from generation to generation, and will be transferred till the day of judgment, most of today's Muslims actions are not according to the Sunnah, but it is Allah who is keeping the Prophet words.

This shows the narration of the hadeeth system which is mentioned in hadeeth books also witnesses the saying of the Prophet, how true is the saying of the Prophet , and it is transferring up today, until the day of Judgment.

"And may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly."

Today's all of this research and scientific discoveries making us understand Islam better and better. Better than the people at that time of the Prophet, and this is the reason why they had a very great honor, because they listened, and obeyed, and surrendered all of there but and why's. But, today we can understand better, but our actions deny Islam. And we are like one of those hypocrites, most of us who claim to love Islam, and whenever we hear any scientific discoveries mentioned in the Quran, we get so happy, because this shows the truthfulness of the Quran. However, our daily routines forget the honor we gave to the Quran, but we do not apply it in our lives. 

"Be my witness, O ALLAH, that I have conveyed your message to your people".

This conclusion of the Prophet's sermon indicates that the Religion of Islam has been officially completed, and that the Message of Allah (SWT) has been officially transferred, and anyone who tries to add something which he or she thinks that by doing this he or she is showing the love of the Prophet, that innovation will take them to hell. We have to keep the most accurate form, wording of the Prophet, and his actions.

It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad
) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islâm), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) hate (it). (9:33)

Why is the Prophet saying to Allah to be his witness, because all of those Muslims who claim to be Muslim, and the Quran sits in there closets, closed and wrapped. And everyone thinks that they are getting blessings from it, and this is the biggest misguidance from Satan (Shaytan), all the hardship which the Prophet went through and he shown practically how the Quran applies in this life, but he never gave up and transferred accurately to this world, and which the Muslims are denying and going after the world. On the day of Judgment those who did not practice have no face to come close to the Prophet , whoever was busy in this world, and denies and forgets the Prophets' sacrifice for us and Islam.
