They (think to) deceive Allâh and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not! (2:9)

Those who are "modern" and "well-moved" in society think they are smart, but Allah who knows what we conceal in our hearts, because he is our creator. However because of his mercy we are thinking right, we see, talk, and maintain our status. And Allah has full control over us.  He knows what is within our desires, and knows what we are thinking, and what we will think in the future. He is recording every single second within our life, from birth to death, including all of our actions. Those who think in this way are smart, and those who ignore the laws of Allah and the punishments of the hereafter, he or she is a great loser, and is ignorant. Whenever there is some Islamic program going on they try and act Islamic, in order to please their religious friends. Those people are only cheating themselves because, each and every soul is traveling constantly towards death, from the time of birth.

Note: However the doors of repentance are never closed until death, and we should cry and beg to Allah in order to open our eyes and hearing so we can understand the orders of our creator, sustainer, and our provider, we should always remember that Allah's mercy is more stronger then his punishments, if one tries to seek it within his lifetime, inshallah.
