In Islam, any carnivore is not permissible, such as a dog, cat, or a lion. The pig eats everything, however in the market place it is placed beside beef and chicken.

A logical reason is lets assume a animal has aids, and that animal is eaten by another meat eating animal, and that animal is eaten my a human being, as a result aids would transfer to that person, because blood is a germs carrier, and blood has been made prohibited. When a carnivore attacks its prey, it always first sucks the blood, before eating the prey.

Pork was never permissible to the nation of Moses (Musa), or Jesus (Isa), or any other Prophet who came from Allah (God).

Allah who is our creator, owner and sustainer wants us to live the best way in this world, and eat pure and clean. However, Satan (Shaytan) tells us to break the laws of Allah, regardless if one is losing there life, family, health or any other thing.

It is only permissible to eat a herbivore (plant eating animal). It is not permissible to eat vultures, hawks, eagles, or any other meat eating bird. Before these birds eat there prey, they first inject there claws in order to hold the prey. Within there claws are all types of germs and impurities. Allah is our creator, what Allah knows is beyond human comprehension.

Forbidden to you (for food) are: Al-Maytatah (the dead animals - cattle-beast not slaughtered), blood, the flesh of swine, and the meat of that which has been slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allâh, or has been slaughtered for idols, etc., or on which Allâh's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering, and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by the goring of horns - and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild animal - unless you are able to slaughter it (before its death) and that which is sacrificed (slaughtered) on AnNusub[] (stone altars). (Forbidden) also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision, (all) that is Fisqun (disobedience of Allâh and sin). This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above-mentioned meats), then surely, Allâh is OftForgiving, Most Merciful.
