![]() The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) (1:4) As we know, everything in this world belongs to Allah. We are just users, no one takes anything earned from this world, regardless how hardworking we were, or what achievements we made during our lifetime, and the facilities an luxuries we are enjoying in our life, we come to this world empty handed during the time of our birth, and at the time of death we will go empty handed, back to our creator. By the mercy of Allah, we pass our stages of life, and we work very hard to achieve things in our lifetimes. We want to make sure that we have the best type of furniture, houses, or any other luxury one can think of. For the soul, this world is only a transit. It is just like one is traveling, for example, and that individual has some transit in Europe, when traveling from North America to Asia. For a certain duration, that individual would stay at a airport in Europe, and during that individual's stay, he would never worry to buy anything expensive things, such as furniture, which will be left behind, because it cannot be taken with that individual on the plane. No one would buy anything else, except food, or any other thing to pass time, because we would have to catch our flight, and reach our destination. We should realize, that the example stated is similar to that of our life. From the time of birth we start to travel towards death. Regardless is the baby is born, in the family of a wealthy or poor individual. No one knows, the exact duration during one's life, and this is more sensitive then catching a flight, in transit, because at least we know the time we will be flying towards our destination. Now we can see, our involvement in this world, when we are in transit can we be running here and there in the airport, in order to find things, so we can stay in that airport forever?
Every soul when they come to this world, we are given many comforts by Allah, during our stay in this world. People would refer to comfort as valuable items which are earned and collected. The real comfort is actually our health, that health we mentioned in the previous verse (1:1, and 1:2). This world has been made by Allah with all types of comforts which one can imagine, and Allah has made our bodies precisely, for example, small details such as eyelashes, which saves our eyes from being exposed to dust. Or one can look at the example of nails, which allows us to have a better grip, when we hold objects in our hands. Every soul will meet his or hers' Lord in order to answer, his or hers' favors, what was given to us during our lifetimes. Before Allah will make our judgment, our lifetime will be shown to us equal to the weight of an atom, good and bad deeds. It is just like Allah has granted mankind with the wisdom to produce movies, which allows us to see our previous events in our lifetimes. A 100 years ago, no one would ever believe that it is possible to see such small details and with the many varieties of color, in that film. And this invention would act as a witness against us in the day of judgment. To understand the day of judgment, we can see and ponder upon the following verses:
. Now we can realize after what is stated above, it is not worth it to ignore our creator, and his mercy upon us because, regardless wherever we are, death will meet us. And lets say one at the time of death, gives the doctor, his entire earnings from his life, to save him from death. And no one will ever be able to be saved from the event of death. Every soul regardless of religion or status, death will touch us. We are not made from any special material, billions have died, and we will also. After death, there will be no time zone or solar system, and it will be eternity, so it is not worth it for us to forget our Lord, for such a limited time frame in this world, and as a result suffering eternity in hell. The details of the day of Judgment are unlimited, but by reading the following verses, it help us to understand this event before it takes place:
