Mankind is impenitent and ungrateful for the bounties bestowed upon us from Allah, from the time Adam. Satan cannot give us anything, nor cannot do anything, he only could make the path of misguidance attractive for us, in order to go against the will of Allah, regardless of the results. Now one could realize, that Satan is the biggest enemy of mankind, because he lost his honor because of Adam, so his jealousy and to give mankind as much as losses as possible, from any direction. So he made that tree so attractive for Adam and his wife, and they forgot all of the mercy that was granted to them by Allah, and whatever they want they could have, and they were obedient to Satan over a single tree. Now we could realize today, that all mercies and bounties bestowed upon us are only from Allah, even if it is a hungry beggar hungry for a few days, how? Because individually he himself is so wealthy, if we approach him and request to him to break his eyes for any price, even if you offer him an amount in the millions. "We said: "Get you down, all, with enmity between yourselves." Allah orders Adam and Eve (Hawaa) to be sent to this world, with a reminder that Satan and them will be an enemy of each other. Each and every soul must focus on these points, Allah reminds us in this verse (2:36) that we and Satan are enemies of each other. How can we be an enemy to Satan? One who practices, adopts, and submits fully to the laws of Allah in his lifestyle, while he sacrifices his evil desires, which is an attraction by Satan. He or she could defeat Satan, who is the greatest enemy to mankind. How is Satan our greatest enemy? If one has a high status, and power in society, and because of us if that person loses his power and status, and instead of being amongst the highest in status, we make him the lowest in society, so how can that individual be our freind, or show us the straight path, instead he would want to make us the lowest. Lets realize how? One who buys a house on interest, for example, his entire life he is paying the interest, and a very small amount is going towards paying off the actual amount. 98% of people would work there entire life, and by the time they reach at the age of 50 or 60, they are able to enjoy some part of there life with there house, furniture, and money, otherwise most of the people work in hassle, day and night working hard in order to reach some goal or status by the time they reach the age of 40 or 50 and up. All of these efforts of hard work stay in this world, and never come with the soul after death. This is a reminder, and this is what we learn from Allah, on how Satan (Shaytan) is our enemy, and Allah is saying that we are all in a transit during of our lifetimes, everyone comes with a limited time in this examination hall, which we know as our world. While we are in this world, we can communicate as much as we like with Allah, and take advantage from this time, in order to worship and seek repentance from Allah, as much as we can. Allah reminds us in the Qur'an over 1400 years ago about this even concerning Adam, in order for us to realize not to follow our biggest enemy Satan, and to remember that we are only in a limited time, here and in the hereafter. After death we will not die again, so whoever obeys the laws of Allah, the owner of the universe and the day of judgment, then in this way it is a good chance for us to earn Allah's favor and come closer to him. |
