![]() The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace [], not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians). (1:7) "The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace []," We should think who did Allah bestow his grace upon? Now lets examine: The Prophets who Allah sent, the
Prophet And the companions were tortured
with the Prophet Every single day we read this
verse, but never understand the contents within that verse, we ask from
Allah to keep us with those on whom you have bestowed your grace. Now we
should imagine our life after death and the day of judgment, how essential
it is for us to leave the forbidden things of this world, in order to obey
the laws of Allah, and the Prophet It is a very famous phrase
amongst us today, that if an individual dies, we say that he or she has
gone to Allah. While we are alive we are with Allah, meaning the doors of
forgiveness are open. Before death we can make as much as repentance as we
like, and we can change our lifestyles according to the will and laws of
Allah. However after death it is too late for one to seek repentance. The
angels in the grave are like robots, without any mercy on anyone. We will
be treated according to our deeds committed during our lifetimes. If our
actions were like non-believers, then we would be treated like them. Now
we can take ourselves to the day of Judgment, where there will be no
medical facilities for the injured person, and there will be no shelter,
each and everyone would be standing on his own worrying about deeds
committed. There will be no mother, father, or anyone else to help, except
for those who use to seek help from Allah during there lifetimes, and use
to follow his laws, and believe in the day of judgment, if we inshallah, are
one of them, then we will be with
the Prophet Now we can imagine how important it is for us, to obey the laws of Allah, and as a result stay with those on whom Allah has bestowed his grace upon. "not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews)," If we examine our lifestyles today, how fast do our words, commitments, and dealings change. And today its considered to be smart, if one cheats another until that individual does not find out. And lets say by accident he does find out, then simply the way to justify that is the term "sorry". And then we start to look at other avenues, in order to find another person to cheat. We are looking at all sorts of excuses to satisfy ourselves from doing things which are prohibited, such as eating interest, and following prohbiitted fashions, and want to look like non-Muslims, which is called modern in society. Day and night we break the laws of Allah, and we continuously earn the anger of Allah, and we think that it is a blessing from Allah, or either it is our smartness. So we should first look at ourselves, and think deeply are we earning the anger of Allah? nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians)." Today we only focus worldly fashions and designs and to learn manners from the western world. Lets examine our manners, when we see someone we say the term "hi", please let me know what is the meaning of this word? Or sometimes even Muslims mind if they are not said "hi" to. Or another example is "good morning", regardless what disaster takes place at the morning, either it is the wealth, or family issues, however we say the terms "good morning," "good afternoon," and "good evening" or "excuse me," basically these terms are useless, and meaningless. However lets say someone says salam to another, they are sending there blessings on each other. This term means to seek protection from Allah, in order not for one's life, business, family, or happiness to be destroyed. If we look at the conditions
before Islam, we should think how were people living miserably and
behaving at that time? Things such as cheating, stealing, class conflicts,
and all of the problems we find amongst ourselves today, as a result of
leaving Islamic morals and manners, and leaving behind the lifestyle of
the Prophet
Some Muslims are under the impression after reading this verse, or other verses in the Qur'an, that in order to justify themselves, they are under the impression that this verse only applies to the Jews and Christians. But we should look at our actions today, and testify are our lifestyles according to the law of Allah or not? and if not, then there is no difference between us and those mentioned above. Before starting to blame anyone else, we should first look at ourselves, and our actions.
