And do not marry Al-Mushrikât (idolatresses, etc.) till they
believe (worship Allâh Alone). And indeed a slave woman who believes is
better than a (free) Mushrikah (idolatress, etc.), even though she
pleases you. And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikûn[]
till they believe (in Allâh Alone) and verily, a believing slave is
better than a (free) Mushrik (idolater, etc.), even though he
pleases you. Those (Al-Mushrikûn) invite you to the Fire, but Allâh
invites (you) to Paradise and Forgiveness by His Leave, and makes His Ayât
(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear
to mankind that they may remember. (2:221)

And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphangirls,
then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four but if you
fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one
or (the captives and the slaves) that your right hands possess. That is
nearer to prevent you from doing injustice (4:3)

And marry not women whom your fathers married, except what has already
passed; indeed it was shameful and most hateful, and an evil way. (4:22)

Forbidden to you (for marriage) are: your mothers, your daughters, your
sisters, your father's sisters, your mother's sisters, your brother's
daughters, your sister's daughters, your foster mother who gave you suck,
your foster milk suckling sisters, your wives' mothers, your step
daughters under your guardianship, born of your wives to whom you have
gone in - but there is no sin on you if you have not gone in them (to
marry their daughters), - the wives of your sons who (spring) from your
own loins, and two sisters in wedlock at the same time, except for what
has already passed; verily, Allâh is OftForgiving, Most Merciful.
(4:23)

Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (captives and
slaves) whom your right hands possess. Thus has Allâh ordained for
you. All others are lawful, provided you seek (them in marriage) with
Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of
marriage) from your property, desiring chastity, not committing illegal
sexual intercourse, so with those of whom you have enjoyed sexual
relations, give them their Mahr as prescribed; but if after a Mahr
is prescribed, you agree mutually (to give more), there is no sin on
you. Surely, Allâh is Ever AllKnowing, AllWise. (4:24)

The adulterer marries not but an adulteress or a Mushrikah and the
adulteress none marries her except an adulterer or a Muskrik [and
that means that the man who agrees to marry (have a sexual relation with)
a Mushrikah (female polytheist, pagan or idolatress) or a
prostitute, then surely he is either an adulterer, or a Mushrik
(polytheist, pagan or idolater, etc.) And the woman who agrees to marry
(have a sexual relation with) a Mushrik (polytheist, pagan or
idolater) or an adulterer, then she is either a prostitute or a Mushrikah
(female polytheist, pagan, or idolatress, etc.)]. Such a thing is
forbidden to the believers (of Islâmic Monotheism). (24:3)

And marry those among you who are single (i.e. a man who has no wife and
the woman who has no husband) and (also marry) the Sâlihûn
(pious, fit and capable ones) of your (male) slaves and maid-servants
(female slaves). If they be poor, Allâh will enrich them out of His
Bounty. And Allâh is All-Sufficent for His creatures' needs, All-Knowing
(about the state of the people). (24:32)

And let those who find not the financial means for marriage keep
themselves chaste, until Allâh enriches them of His Bounty. And such of
your slaves as seek a writing (of emancipation), give them such writing,
if you know that they are good and trustworthy. And give them something
yourselves out of the wealth of Allâh which He has bestowed upon you. And
force not your maids to prostitution, if they desire chastity, in order
that you may make a gain in the (perishable) goods of this worldly life.
But if anyone compels them (to prostitution), then after such compulsion,
Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to those women, i.e. He will
forgive them because they have been forced to do this evil action
unwillingly). (24:33)
