They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. (2:5)

Those who realize the controls of Allah, and how he is our provider, creator, and our sustainer would fight against their evil desires, and their living lifestyle would be according to the will of Allah and his Prophet. They do not care what people would think about them, or if people might laugh at them. They are those who sacrifice there wealth, status, life, etc. towards the way of Allah, and all of there worldly matters they treat as secondary, these are the people who Allah certifies as successful in front of his eyes.
